In the past few months I have been struggling to establish a connection between my soul and the music I’ve been working on. That is why I kept silent and didn’t share anything new. I made thousands of demos, experimented new sounds and I used my own voice for the first time on some of my projects. However, I’ve always felt like something was missing and I’ve never really been satisfied with what I was making. I changed my mind multiple times, scrapped entire projects and started new ones… I even thought that I would need a name change to express myself through music in a better way. I’ve always been struggling with anxiety disorders, but lately they have become so overwhelming that I lost control of what I was doing. I’m still trying my best to cope with all this shit and -trust me- it’s not easy, and it’s literally impossible to focus on music and art when you’re not feeling well.
Now I’ve decided to share with you a few tracks that were supposed to be on my next album (which is probably not going to be released anytime soon). I particularly enjoy these 3 tracks because they are so meaningful to me. In particular “boy from space”, which is dedicated to my boyfriend. It contains a sample of his voice at the beginning (sorry if it’s in Italian…).
This is not the end of bl00dwave, however, this could be the beginning of something new. I don’t know if I’m going to start a side project and release all the tracks I worked on, or if I’m going to quit vaporwave and do something else. I just want to keep making music, improve my production skills and become able to take back control over my life, so that I can enjoy what I make to the fullest.
